Leviathan

  • Originally cited as a "great sea monster" in the first chapter of Genesis, the leviathan has become synonymous with any large monster or creature. According to legend, the Leviathan was a fire-breathing creature of such immense size that the sea boils when it swims on the surface. It ruthlessly and fearlessly rules over all the creatures of the sea. The Leviathan's skin is like a double coat of mail, with overlapping scales as large as shields on its back, and as sharp and hard as broken pottery on its under-parts.

Centaur

  • Centaurs, according to Greek mythology, were said to be the offspring of Ixion, son of Ares, and a cloud. These strange creatures had the head arms and chest of a man but the legs and lower half of a horse. In later myths and stories they sometimes had horns, wings or both. Back to Greek mythology, these Man-Horse beasts lived in Thessaly, fed on meat and were given to riotous revelries. They came to symbolize the dark, unruly forces of nature. They were usually depicted as drunken followers of Dionysus, except for Cheiron who was the tutor to several heroes...

Minotaur

 
  • Minotaur was the beast who was trapped in the labyrinth of king Minos.It was the beast with head of the bull and the body of the average person.Every 9 years King Minos was sending one person to the labyrinth of Crete and the Minotaur was eating it.The boy named Theseus was volunteered to kill and slay the minotaur.Ariadne,the daughter of the king Minos fall in love with Theseus and help him by the ball of thread.Theseus killed the monster with the sword of Aegeus. But he forgot to put up the white sail, so when his father saw the ship he presumed Theseus was dead and threw himself into the sea.The Minotaur was dead once and for all.
